Blackhawks unveil ‘Hometown Remix' jerseys and the reviews….aren't great

The Chicago Blackhawks are largely considered to have one of the NHL’s best logos, but their newest jerseys aren’t receiving the same praise. On Monday, the NHL officially unveiled their new “Hometown Remix” series jerseys for all 32 teams, and the Blackhawks’ entry uses the color green instead of their traditional red, along with a few other flourishes, including light brown gloves. In their press release and social media featurettes, the Blackhawks pointed out several elements of the jersey, including the embossed stars of the Chicago flag on the sleeve, the city’s motto stitched inside the hem of the jersey, and more. Still, with the team using their official logo, and the similarity to the color scheme of the Dallas Stars’ jerseys, NHL pundits are largely panning the look. In fact, both ESPN and The Athletic ranked the Blackhawks’ jersey as the worst of the 32 “Hometown Remix” editions. Here’s how ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski explained his ranking of the Blackhawks
